Global footwear brand stops product leaks and takes control

Where they started

This global footwear brand had a big problem with their product launches leaking.

Not just here and there. Often.

Assets meant for top-secret campaigns were showing up online before launch day. That broke licensing deals. It damaged trust with major partners and even led to legal trouble.

The root cause? Their digital asset management (DAM) system had spiraled out of control. Over 5,000 users had access with unclear permissions and governance. It was like giving everyone a key to the vault and hoping for the best.

At the same time, their product data was scattered and unreliable. They didn’t have a PIM system. Their global teams were frustrated because they couldn’t access what they needed. Customers were confused when they saw leaked assets online. Meanwhile, the business was bleeding time and money.

What’s more, they had a hard deadline. If they didn’t move off their old DAM system by the end of the year, they’d get hit with another big license fee.

How we helped

We started with a full discovery. We met with over 100 stakeholders across the business to map how they create, manage, and use product data and assets. We listened. We documented. We identified the gaps.

Then we ran two RFPs, one for DAM and one for PIM. Through this process, we helped them prioritize what mattered most. We scored vendors against their business requirements, meaning that Ntara, the client, and the vendors all evaluated the same requirements independently.

This resulted in a clear, confident path to the right platforms.

At the intersection, there are several colorful circles in various shades of blue, red, and yellow that represent product data.

Where we’re at

  • They’ve picked their DAM and PIM platforms.
  • DAM implementation is underway and scheduled to launch in October.
  • PIM is next.
  • They’ve already avoided another year of fees.
  • They’re collecting baseline metrics to show ROI after launch.
  • And they’re finally in control of their assets and data.

No more leaks. No more chaos. Just a clear path forward.

Why this matters

This isn’t just a tech upgrade. It’s a business transformation that puts a global brand back in control.

With Ntara’s help, this company is protecting its brand, streamlining its processes, and positioning itself for long-term success. They’re going from firefighting to futureproofing.

And we’re just getting started.
