A PIM your team will actually use
The most common failure mode in PIM implementations isn’t technical. It’s the gap between the business needs and the configuration.
That gap forms when requirements aren’t gathered deeply enough, when the data model isn’t designed for how users work, when integrations are built to spec rather than to purpose, or when go-live is treated as the finish line instead of the starting line.
Ntara has worked alongside manufacturers and brands through every variation of this problem, including rescuing implementations where another partner left that gap wide open. Our practice is designed to close it from day one.
Five phases of Ntara’s PIM implementation
Discovery: On-site or virtual workshops to map your current state, including use cases and success metrics. We conduct a PIM analysis before making a single configuration decision. We need to know what you sell, how your team enriches data, and where it needs to go downstream. All that shapes our approach to the build.
Design: Data model, taxonomy, and governance design tailored to your catalog and your channels. This is the foundation on which everything else builds. A bad data model creates years of technical debt that no amount of optimization can recover.
Configuration: Out-of-the-box workflow configured for up to four user groups. Roles, permissions, and review paths your team can run, versus a theoretical approval hierarchy that no one follows.
Integrations: Standard scope for a PIM implementation includes two inbound and two outbound integrations. Additional integrations can be built for any internal system. Syndication endpoints can be added to support outbound data transfers to distributors, marketplaces, retailers, and more.
Enablement & launch: Training, hypercare, and a documented runbook. This is the handoff that makes adoption stick, and what separates a go-live from a successful launch.

Certified across leading platforms
Ntara brings multiple certified strategists, solutions engineers, architects, and developers to every engagement. We partner with leading PIM platforms and have the cross-platform depth to recommend and implement the right solution for your specific requirements.

Timeline: 16–20 weeks
Deliverables: Configured PIM with data model, workflows, four integrations, and a hypercare runbook

What this looks like in practice
When SATCO|NUVO’s first implementation partner stalled their project, Ntara took over with a structured, agile approach. The result was a phased MVP that let SATCO run their legacy PIM and Inriver in parallel—without disrupting the business—while migrating over time. Today, SATCO manages 23,000+ SKUs, 73,000 asset files, and three inbound data extensions. Marketing moved from siloed manual processes to centralized enrichment.
“Throughout this process, we’ve learned that your SI matters.” – Jeff Beyer, CTO of SATCO|NUVO
For a global footwear brand, Ntara rebuilt a struggling PIM implementation from the ground up. We merged two regional instances into a single global SaaS platform, built 64+ custom extensions, and cut a full data send through Salesforce Commerce Cloud from days to under 10 minutes.
Visual Comfort needed a PIM that could power global ecommerce expansion, connect to their DAM, and support channel-specific outputs. We led the implementation and built a bidirectional integration with Adobe Experience Manager Assets. We also developed a reusable outbound extension that Visual Comfort can scale to any country or channel.
