Your brand’s digital flagship deserves more than a template
A direct-to-consumer (DTC) site is where customers go to explore, evaluate, and buy. It’s your highest-visibility channel and, for many brands, your highest-intent one. When it underperforms (slow load times, incomplete product content, friction at checkout), you feel it in conversion rates and customer retention.
Most DTC sites struggle because they were built without a clear map of who’s using them and what’s needed at each step. Personas get collapsed into a single “customer.” Product data doesn’t make it from the PIM to the product detail page. Digital assets in DAM must be manually moved. The site ends up looking fine in a but frustrates buyers in practice.
Ntara builds DTC experiences that are fast, intuitive, and integrated into your broader tech stack. We start with your customers and work backward to the architecture, so every choice is based on real use stories.
What we do
Customer journey mapping and persona definition
Before any wireframe or platform decision, we map who’s coming to your site. We identify what they’re trying to accomplish and where your current experience loses them. This documentation drives every design and content decision downstream.
Site design and user experience
We design DTC experiences built around how your specific customers shop. That means navigation structures that match your catalog’s logic. It means PDPs that surface the product data buyers need, and checkout flows that reduce abandonment. Accessibility and mobile performance are requirements.
Platform selection and implementation
If you’re evaluating platforms or re-platforming, we help you select and implement the right fit for your business. We’re platform-agnostic and have worked across the major commerce platforms. Our goal is to build a stable foundation that supports your go-to-market timeline and scales with your catalog and channels.
PIM and DAM integration
A DTC site is only as good as the product content feeding it. We connect your storefront to your PIM and DAM so that enriched product data and approved digital assets flow to PDPs automatically—no manual exports, stale images, or copy-paste errors. For brands without a PIM or DAM, we help evaluate and implement the right systems as part of the broader DTC build. We also integrate with ERP systems to retrieve inventory and pricing data as needed.
Launch planning and adoption support
Launch date is not the finish line. We help your team prepare for go-live with testing protocols and content readiness checklists. You get a rollout plan that accounts for the operational changes a new DTC site introduces. Post-launch, we support adoption by training team members, monitoring integration performance, and identifying quick wins as you settle into the new environment.

What you get
- Customer journey maps and validated persona definitions that anchor every design decision
- A site design optimized for your specific catalog structure, buyer types, and conversion goals
- Platform implementation with integrations to PIM, DAM, and ERP, so your PDPs stay accurate and current
- A launch plan with content readiness criteria, testing protocols, and a go-live checklist
- Post-launch support to stabilize integrations and accelerate team adoption of new workflows
The result is a DTC site that works the way your buyers shop, and a content operations model that keeps it accurate at scale.

Results we’ve seen
Milbank, a manufacturer of meter sockets, enclosures, and related products, had a site that had grown cluttered. It was hard to navigate, particularly for buyers trying to access technical product data. Potential customers were leaving before they could find what they needed.
Ntara conducted PXM research to understand both technical and non-technical buyer needs, then restructured the homepage layout and navigation. The redesign gave users a clean path to product categories and product detail information, reducing friction for both new visitors and returning customers.
When this makes sense
- You’re launching DTC for the first time and need a site architecture built around your buyers
- Your current DTC site is underperforming, with low conversion rates, high bounce rates, or customer feedback pointing to friction in discovery or checkout
- You’re re-platforming and want to use the transition as an opportunity to rethink the experience, versus migrating what you already have
- Your site content is inconsistent or incomplete because product data isn’t flowing reliably from your PIM or DAM to your PDPs
- You serve multiple buyer types (consumer, trade, wholesale), and your current site treats them all the same way
- You have a platform in place, but the integrations between your ecommerce front end and your broader tech stack are weak, manual, or undocumented
