SEO strategy results in 75% of top 50 targeted keywords ranking in Google
The challenge
Teradata.com needed an organic search boost. For some time, content had been removed from the site, resulting in a decrease in organic search traffic for many of its highest-value topics. Teradata needed new and different ways to present content—not only to position themselves as a thought leader, but to also draw in new users through organic search.
Our approach
We worked with Teradata’s in-house team to develop a two-pronged strategy that improved both the SEO and UX of their site. First, we created a detailed glossary of key industry terms and buzzwords. Then, we created a “content hub” that acts as a one-stop-shop for visitors seeking info about specific topics.
Following Kentico’s taxonomies, we tagged related content with a many-to-one relationship. This allows for short, keyword-focused URLs while still having easily searchable, easily navigable content. Now, with the click of a button, site visitors can access videos, infographics, listicles, case studies, webinars, and more. We also gave the content hub prime positioning in the navigation to boost both UX and organic search performance.
Final experience
Both deliverables improved SEO and provided users with a better overall experience, allowing visitors to navigate content in a way they hadn’t been able to before. Each category page within the content hub is hyper-focused and optimized for search. Key topics are easier to locate, and previously siloed information is now all in one place.
Teradata.com saw an immediately lift in SEO after the launch of the content hub and continues to make incredible gains in organic search traffic as a result. Note, this is only the beginning. The content hub is only a year old and new content continues to be populated.

“I’ve been working in digital for 20+ years and have been on a number of projects. This was by far the smoothest project—from start to finish—that I’ve ever been a part of. I expect the continued growth from this to be exponential.”
